Industrial Heritage
Orpington u3a members please logon to see group leader contact details.
Our group has an interest in all aspects of Britain's rich industrial heritage - history, technology and science, together with the lives of those who created and worked in British industry. Activities include site visits (mainly during the warmer months), talks and films at Orpington Liberal Club in Station Road (mainly during the colder months), a five day trip to another part of the UK each summer and an annual lunch in January.
Meets: Monthly, dates vary, but are circulated well in advance. To receive regular information about our programme, ask to join our email circulation list (logon to see contact details).
Costs: Varies depending on activity and location.
We operate as an 'open' group with no limits on numbers, so there are always vacancies. Our programme circulation list currently reaches more than 60 email addresses.
