Victorian High Elms - Lord Avebury, Lyulph Lubbock
High Elms was in its heyday in Victorian times. It grew from a small country house with 210 acres to a large Palladian mansion with 2700 acres. At one time there were 36 servants employed and many famous and not-so-famous visitors enjoyed it's hospitality.
