Scouting (The Early Years) - Michael Gilbert
From the Siege of Mafeking, to a camp under canvas for eighteen boys on Brownsea Island in 1907, to the publishing of Scouting for Boys in 1908, as Lord Baden Powell said “Scouting grew like Topsy”. How the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides were instrumental in working to keep the country going during the Great War, to the celebration of the first Jamboree in 1920.
