Pop Music Interest Group Keep on Groovin'
10th May 2020
Not to be daunted by the lockdown, the Pop Music Interest Group has embraced technology to keep going. In late March we each submitted our favourite songs for the theme "What, Where, When, Why?" (Song title or Artist name). A list of the songs was published and we all played the songs at the same time on Spotify or YouTube, coordinated on WhatsApp. We then voted for our favourite three songs (excluding our own choices) and you can see our Top 20 chart below.

We missed seeing each other and chatting about the songs, so in April we tried out Zoom with a theme of "Food". This was very successful and we all agreed to use that medium for the rest of lockdown. There's no chart available yet, but choices included the classic "There's a guy works down the chip shop thinks he's Elvis".
Our theme for May is "Animals and Birds, including Insects (excluding Artist is called the Beatles). I am the Walrus still qualifies for song name.
Have fun deciding what your top 3 song choices would be for each of these themes.
