Badminton, Short Mat Bowls & Table Tennis
Badminton, Short Mat Bowls and Table Tennis are all available in a joint session. Players of all levels are invited to join, and beginners will be helped. Equipment is provided. Please wear trainers or other rubber soled shoes.
Meets: Fridays, 1 - 3 p.m. at Walnuts Leisure Centre, Orpington.
Costs: £2 per session for hall hire. Members can enjoy any of the activities.
Over 50 members in group, 30+ attendees each week. We have vacancies, especially for Badminton.
Badminton (Beckenham)
This is a BOB group run by Beckenham u3a, but open to members of Bromley, Orpington and Beckenham.
Racquets and other equipment are available. You will need to wear suitable shoes (such as trainers) with rubber non-slip soles.
Meets: 2nd Wednesday, 2.30 - 3.30 p.m. in the Bevington Hall at Beckenham Methodist Church. We sometimes also play on the 4th Wednesday if enough members wish to come.
Costs: £5 each per 1 hour session to cover the cost of the hall hire.
8 members in group. We have vacancies at present as the number of members who can come on the day varies.
