Not long ago our eating and drinking habits were very different; indeed, our table manners left a lot to be desired and great feasts appear to have been a riot! We trace the development of our present customs from those startling earlier practices from 1200 up to our TV chefs of today. An entertaining talk looking back through the years when we were doing 'the best that we could at the time'! Luckily, things have improved - or have they?
